Junior Make-a-thon (JMT) is a one-of-a-kind event under the Tech & Innovation Fair, Shaastra, which centres around the ideas, imagination, and innovation skills of high school students and allows them to learn practical skills and apply them to create new models and devices. One of the primary aims of JMT is to promote maker culture among school students, with quality mentorship and workshops. With the help of our partners, including the IITM Research Park and IITM Incubation Cell, we encourage students to come up with solutions to problems persisting in different fields like agriculture, sustainability, healthcare, robotics, and home comfort.
The first round of JMT 2021 will comprise a variety of case studies, based on significant problems that are prevalent in the world including specific social and environmental issues. These questions are sure to pique your curiosity and are framed to bring out the best in you! So bring out the hidden innovator in you, give us your best solutions, and stand a chance to get shortlisted to the final round of JMT Shaastra, where you’d be given some cool problem statements to work on, under the guidance of professionals and create your own product/method to solve them!
