DOKA (Depth of Knowledge Assessment) is an annual international math problem-solving competition held all over the world. It is sponsored by Scholastic Trust Singapore and conducted by SMO Education Group, Academy Team Mathics, and Singapore International Math Contests Centre (SIMCC) (STS).
Many people are unaware that one of the most significant components of Higher Order Thinking Skills is Reasoning Skills (HOTS). Reasoning is the process of thinking logically and rationally about something in order to come up with a solution to a problem by weighing several choices.
DOKA provides a healthy competitive platform for children in Grades 1 to 12 (Primary 1 to A-Levels) to evaluate their HOTS and IQ ability within their year level group. Parents and teachers can use this time to evaluate their children and students before attempting more difficult math competitions or IQ exams in the future.
Test Format
There are 6 papers in total:
Primary Levels
Paper P Paper Q Paper R
Grades 1 & 2 Grades 3 & 4 Grades 5 & 6
Secondary Levels
Paper S Paper T Paper U
Grades 7 & 8 Grades 9 & 10 Grades 11 & 12
Total Score: 24
Duration: 90 minutes
Language: English
*Calculators are ONLY permitted for Secondary levels (Papers S, T and U)
*Results will be compared within the same Grade level group.
Awards
The top 60% of participants will receive an award certificate. Others will receive an E- Certificate of Participation.

The top 20% winners are invited to compete at SIMOC 2022 to be held online on July 17, 2022. Students must register with the respective SIMCC country organizer and contest entry is available on a first come first served basis, so register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
*In the event that the COVID-19 situation worsens, SIMOC will be held online. In case of any change in the schedule of the exam, the revised date will be shared on our site.
