#A Writing Contest with a TWIST


Story Mirror welcome you to write a short hostel story and win prizes of up to Rs 45,000.

But the twist: your short story should read like a sequel to the book “A (Really) Stolen Election” published by StoryMirror

How do you do this?

Read the book “A (Really) Stolen Election” published by StoryMirror. Available at https://amzn.to/3AeXdIc
Understand the plot and characters
Then write a short hostel story which continues the plot of the book “A (Really) Stolen Election” and uses at least one character from the book 
Your story should read like a sequel to the book for it to be considered
Submit your story on the StoryMirror platform
Entries are welcome in English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Odia, Bengali, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada
The minimum number of words is 500. There is no maximum limit


CONTEST PRIZES

Prizes will be given out to the best story. For your entry to be considered for a prize, you must use at least one character from the book and the story must read like a sequel to the book “A (Really) Stolen Election”. StoryMirror’s judges will choose the winning entries. The decision of the judges is final.

The prizes are

First prize INR 25,000 + a Certificate from StoryMirror
Second prize INR 10,000 + a Certificate from StoryMirror
Third prize INR 5,000 + a Certificate from StoryMirror
Fourth prize INR 1,000 + Certificate from StoryMirror to five more entries
 

Other rules of the contest

The contest is open to all Indian citizens (except StoryMirror employees and the author of the book “A (Really) Stolen Election”)
Entries are welcome in English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Odia, Bengali, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada
The minimum number of words is 500. There is no maximum limit
You must make a submission as an individual writer (writing in groups of two or three or more are not allowed)
You must make your submission on the StoryMirror platform
Your story should be written like a sequel to the book “A (Really) Stolen Election” for it to be considered as an entry
StoryMirror may publish winning entries and other entries on the StoryMirror platform


End date: 31st December 2021
