NETLAS S-CAT (Science Competency Analytical Test)

S-CAT (Science Competency Analytical Test) is a Science assessment platform in lines with the International Competitions. It assesses the knowledge, understanding and application of skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical thinking, quantitative reasoning and time management.

S-CAT provides an opportunity to the students to assess their learning. They become more aware of their knowledge, understanding and effective usage of resources to learn a particular concept.

The scientific skills like investigative work, obtaining and presenting evidence, making predictions, make conclusions from collected data, including those presented in a graph, chart or spreadsheet, using information from secondary sources and presenting conclusions using different methods are tested.

This examination is conducted for the students of grades 2 to 9.

Level 1:

Assessment Round

Students of Grade 2nd to 8th can participate.

Students scoring 50% & above in the Assessment Round will qualify for the Grand Finale; all other students will receive a participation certificate.

Exam Date:

For Schools: August / September / October 2023 (Exact Date will be announced by the school)

Exam Mode: Offline (In your school)

For Individuals: November / December 2023

Exam Mode: Online

Result: 45 days after the exam date scheduled

Level 2:

Grand Finale

Students scoring 50% & above in the Assessment Round will be qualified for the Grand Finale.

In the Grand Finale, there will be an additional 0.5 Negative Marking for every wrong answer.

For Schools: January / February 2024 (Exact Date will be announced by the school)

Exam Mode: Offline (In your school)

For Individuals: Exact schedule will be announced after the Assessment Round

Exam Mode: Online

Result: 45 days after the exam date scheduled
