Bharatiya Gyan Quiz on Arts & Aesthetics: Explore India’s Rich Artistic Heritage

India’s cultural heritage is deeply rooted in a remarkable knowledge tradition that has evolved over thousands of years. From classical music and dance to theatre, literature, painting, sculpture, and architecture, Indian arts reflect a profound understanding of creativity, human emotions, philosophy, and aesthetics.

To help citizens explore this rich heritage, the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Division under the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with MyGov, is hosting the Bharatiya Gyan Quiz on Arts & Aesthetics as part of its monthly national-level quiz initiative.

What is the Bharatiya Gyan Quiz?

The Bharatiya Gyan Quiz is designed to increase public awareness and engagement with India’s traditional knowledge heritage. Each month, the quiz focuses on a specific theme from the diverse domains of Indian Knowledge Systems.

The initiative aims to create a continuous and interactive learning ecosystem where participants can discover India’s scientific, cultural, artistic, and philosophical traditions in an enjoyable way.

The theme for August 2026 is “Arts & Aesthetics.”

The Arts & Aesthetics theme explores the extraordinary traditions of Indian artistic expression across centuries. It covers several important areas, including:

  • Music
