#Tribes of India: A Writing Contest

Draupadi Murmu, former Jharkhand governor, was named the ruling NDA’s candidate for the forthcoming Presidential election. Murmuji, a tribal leader from Odisha, has fought a lot of battles in her life. Her example is not only an inspiration for all, but it is also a reminder that talent and hard work transcends all racial, and cultural boundaries.

Tribal communities in India have always been referred to as the most vulnerable community.

Often when we mention #Tribes, we discuss poverty, lack of education, modernization, health problems, etc., but how often do we acknowledge their accomplishments, success stories, or contributions to society?

Using the power of positivity, Mr. Sandeep Murarka, one of the authors of StoryMirror has compiled success stories of different tribals. In his book, Shikhar ko Chute Tribals - Part 1 & 2, he talks about people like Draupadiji who have made or are making a name for themselves and their tribe.
