Competitions on World Environment Day 2022 - KSCSTE-CWRDM

KSCSTE-CWRDM is organising various competitions and webinar for school and college students on World Environment Day 20252

Theme: “Only One Earth’, with special focus on living sustainably in harmony with nature

1.Craft Contest (using recyclable materials) -UP&HS

Date: Wednesday, 08-06-2022, Time: 10.30 am to 1.30 pm,

Venue: CWRDM, Kunnamangalam,Calicut

Rules & Regulations:

 Competition is for UP & HS students

 Candidates should carry their School ID cards or letter from the Principal to participate in the programme

 Team shall consist of a maximum of two members only.

 The craft work should be on the theme mentioned above

 Participants are required to bring the necessary materials.

 Participants will be given maximum 3 hours to show their creativity and 2 minutes to talk about the same.

 Waste material could be anything like tetra packs, bottles, newspapers, old utensils, jute material or any second-hand items that otherwise would be thrown away.

 No ready or semi-finished model or matter would be accepted from participant in competition

 Participants will be judged on the basis of Theme, Creativity, Utilization of Resources and Overall presentation.

 No mobile or Internet would be allowed to be used at the time of competition.

 By participating in this competition, the contestant agrees to accept the terms and conditions of the competition.

 Decision of the judges will be final and binding and no communication in this regard will be entertained.

 The best team will be awarded a cash prize and certificate as indicated below

 First Prize- Rs.1500+Certificate

Second Prize – Rs.1000+Certificate

 Participation certificate for all contestants

 The prize distribution will be held on 8th June, 2022 at CWRDM, Kozhikode

2.“Young Reporters Contest” –HSS& College Students

Theme: “Only One Earth’, with special focus on living sustainably in harmony with nature

Date: Wednesday, 08-06-2022, Time: 2 pm to 4 pm, Venue: CWRDM, Calicut

Rules & Regulations:

 The competition is for HSS and College students

 Candidates should carry their School/College ID cards or letter from the Principal to participate in

the programme

 Participants should present a news report on the theme orally in a television reporting style

 Reporting must be based on a narrative picture /Video of an environmental issue

 Candidates can choose any environmental related issue coming under the theme

 The picture must be in PowerPoint format that will be displayed in LED screen

 Reporting can be in English/Malayalam and should not exceed 5 minutes

 Narrative picture/Video on the topic (PowerPoint mode) shall be brought in CD/ pen drive with

the student’s name on it

 The best reporter will be awarded a cash prize and certificate as indicated below

 First Prize- Rs.1500+Certificate

 Second Prize – Rs.1000+Certificate

 Participation certificate for all contestants

 The prize distribution will be held on 8th June, 2022 at CWRDM, Kozhikode
