Are you passionate about wildlife and conservation? Do you love creating art? If so, Sketch for Survival Junior is the perfect platform for you! This global art initiative invites young artists aged 18 and under to showcase their talent while raising awareness about species extinction and biodiversity loss.


About the Competition

Sketch for Survival Junior is an annual art competition that highlights the urgent need for wildlife conservation. Young artists from across the world—including India, Singapore, Sri Lanka, China, the US, and many more—come together to create stunning artwork featuring threatened species. Selected pieces will be exhibited and auctioned, with proceeds supporting global conservation projects.

Key Details

  • Who can enter? Anyone aged 18 years and under.

  • New Age Categories for 2025:

    • Up to 11 years old

    • 12-16 years old

    • 17-18 years old

  • Theme: Artwork must feature a threatened species.

  • Submission Period: 1 January – 31 May 2025

  • Selection Process:

    • 12 June 2025: Longlist announced – successful artists will be asked to send their original artwork.

    • 4 September 2025: Finalists and Highly Commended artworks announced.

  • Exhibition & Auction: Up to 10 artworks per category will be showcased in the UK and auctioned to raise conservation funds.

How to Participate

  1. Create an artwork featuring a threatened species.

  2. Submit your entry online between January and May 2025.

  3. If selected, send your original artwork to Explorer HQ in Norfolk, UK.

Recognition & Certificates

  • All participants receive a Certificate of Participation upon submission.

  • Finalists and winners receive additional certificates.

  • Schools and colleges are encouraged to participate, with special certificates issued by our school coordinator.
