2024 Youth Innovation Contest: Collaborating to Improve and Protect Our Planet!

Are you a young innovator passionate about protecting our planet? Do you have bold, creative ideas that can help address global challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, and sustainable living? If so, the 2024 Youth Innovation Contest is your chance to make an impact!

Hosted by the International Centre for UNESCO ASPnet (ICUA) in partnership with UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (UNESCO IITE), this contest invites children and young people from Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan to showcase their talents and innovative solutions for a greener, more sustainable future.

Contest Overview

The theme of the 2024 contest is sustainable development, encouraging young minds to think about how to protect and improve the world for future generations. Participants are invited to submit creative works that reflect their vision for a more sustainable planet, whether it’s through art, literature, or research.

Age Groups:

  • Children’s Group (5-10 years old)
  • Youth Group (11-17 years old)

You can enter the contest individually or as part of a team (2-3 members). Whether it’s your dream to protect marine life, conserve forests, or build eco-friendly communities, your voice matters! Let your ideas inspire real-world solutions to global challenges.

Contest Themes

Choose one of the following themes to focus your submission on:

  1. Protection of Marine Ecosystems (SDG 14: Life Below Water)

  3. Building Sustainable Human Settlements (SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities)
Discover ways to create greener, more sustainable cities. How can we manage waste, improve public spaces, and design communities that are resilient to natural disasters?
