National Level Painting Competition 2024 on Energy Conservation

The Ministry of Power, in association with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), has launched the National Awareness Campaign to promote energy conservation across the country. As part of this campaign, the National Level Painting Competition 2024 aims to engage students in promoting energy conservation awareness through creative expression. This competition is conducted at three levels: School, State, and National, ensuring wide participation and impact.


Who Can Participate?

The competition is divided into two groups:

  • Group A: Students from 4th, 5th, and 6th standards.
  • Group B: Students from 7th, 8th, and 9th standards.

Competition Structure:

  1. School Level: Schools across India are encouraged to conduct the painting competition by 30th September 2024 for both Group A and Group B. Schools are expected to send their two best entries from each group to the designated Nodal Officer of their respective State/UT.
  2. State Level: Nodal agencies will organize the State-level competition from 1st December to 10th December 2024, selecting winners to advance to the national level.
  3. National Level: Winners from the State competition will compete at the National level. The competition culminates in the announcement of national winners on 14th December 2024, celebrated as National Energy Conservation Day.

Topics for 2024:

Participants can select one of the following themes for their paintings:

  • Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav: Energy Efficient India
  • Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav: Cleaner Planet

Prizes:

  • State Level (per group):
    • First Prize: ₹20,000
    • Second Prize: ₹15,000
    • Third Prize: ₹10,000
    • Consolation Prizes: 10 awards of ₹2,500 each
  • National Level:
    • Group A:
      • First Prize: ₹1,00,000
      • 4 prizes of ₹50,000 each
      • 8 prizes of ₹25,000 each
      • 10 BEE prizes of ₹10,000 each
    • Group B:
      • First Prize: ₹1,00,000
      • 2 prizes of ₹50,000 each
      • 3 prizes of ₹25,000 each
      • 6 prizes of ₹10,000 each

Guidelines:

  • The competition allows participants to use A4-sized paper and any drawing medium, such as pencil, pencil colors, crayons, or watercolors.
  • Collage and patchwork are not permitted.
  • Paintings will be judged based on relevance to the theme, execution of concept, visual appeal, and color use.

How to Submit:

Schools should submit their two best paintings per group by 6th October 2024 to their respective State/UT Nodal Officer. Submissions should include the student's details on the reverse side of the painting.
