Debate Competition for College Students - PN Panicker Foundation

Debate helps the students in gaining broad, multi-faceted knowledge cutting across various disciplines outside their subjects. It helps forming critical thinking skills, increased retention of information, speech delivery, etc.


Eligibility
The competition is open to all students/ researchers enrolled in higher educational institutions (UG, PG, M.Phil, Ph.D. and Post Doc) in any colleges/ universities in India. Open and distance learning students are also eligible to participate



Rules
The participant should be registered at least 48 Hours before the competition
Three topics for the debate competition will be given 24 Hours before the competition in their login and mobile app
The participant should make a 4 minutes video of their speech. Out of which 2 minutes should be for the topic and 2 minutes against the topic
The entry should be appropriate at college level. They should not violate any rules of India and should not be indecent, offensive, hateful, defamatory and unsuitable for public display and publication
The participant should be registered for the competition
Clear video showing the participant with clear audio should be uploaded in their YouTube page and submit the URL in the online login provided at the time of registration or using the National Reading Month Mobile App
The entries will be evaluated based on the organization & clarity, use of facts/ arguments for and against the topic, presentation style, and quality of video and audio
Judge’s decision will be final

Prizes
eCertificate of Participation to all the Participants, who submit their entry
The first and second prizes will be awarded according to the regions of India or state-wise depending on the entries
