Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Undergraduate Students of Food Technology/ Microbiology, Nutrition and Home Science

The Surakshit Khadya Abhiyan (SKA), is a pan-India initiative of CII to promote Food Safety through Awareness & Capacity Building of stakeholders connected with food products.
SKA is aligned with the “Jago Grahak Jago” campaign of Ministry of Consumer Affairs and Prime Minister’s “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”, and was launched in 2015 by Shri Ram Vilas Paswan, Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution in July 2015.

CII Announced the CII-SKA Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Undergraduate Students of Food Technology/ Microbiology, Nutrition and Home Science

It is aimed to give scholarships every year on a merit-cum-means basis.
The aim of the Scholarship is to:
Promote Food Safety amongst the future generation
Facilitate education for needy and meritorious students in the field of Food Technology/ Microbiology, Nutrition and Home Science
Strengthen the student connect with SKA

Amount of Scholarship
1. Actual Tuition fees of the Institute / College / Course;
2. Allowance for purchase of books / study material;
3. Allowance for Hostel accommodation and other related incidental subsistence allowance;
4. The number of scholarship to be given will be based upon the number of available funds.

Who can apply for CII-SKA Scholarship ?
 Students who have taken admission / pursuing under-graduate programme (B.Sc. /
B. Tech.) in Food Science / Food Technology / Dairy Technology / Food Processing / Food
Microbiology / Food Safety / Nutrition can apply for this scholarship.
- Students must have completed without any break;
- I semester for II semester scholarship;
- I and II semester, for the second year scholarship;
- III and IV semester, for the third year scholarship;
- V and VI semester, for fourth year scholarship
 - The student should have cleared all the courses of the concerned semester in the first attempt;
 - All papers must have been cleared with a 60% score or B grade
 - The annual gross income of parents of student from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2,50,000.

Last date of application - 
Continuing Students – 16 August 2018 th 
New Students - 17 September 2018
