The young writers this year have the opportunity to demonstrate their innovative thinking on the following topic:
Junior Level (15-18 years)
a) ‘Why climate change is important for India’s Foreign Policy?’ ‘Why should India be friends with its neighbours?
OR
'Why Indian Foreign policy should give top priority to neighbours?
–(1500 words)
Senior Level (18-25 years)
(b) ‘Impact of International Affairs on Daily Lives in India"
OR
"Impact of Government's Foreign Policy on Daily Lives in India"
-(2500 words). [Case Study is encouraged]
Note: There should be no personal information on the essay paper. The essay can be written in English or Hindi language.
Awards:
Junior Level: (1st prize – Rs 15,000), (2nd prize- Rs 10,000) & (3rd prize-Rs 5,000)
Senior Level: ( 1st prize – Rs 25,000), (2nd prize- Rs 15,000) & (3rd prize-Rs 10,000)
All Essays (soft copy only) should be sent to essayicwa@gmail.com latest by
30th SEPTEMBER 2019.
The entries could also be submitted in the form of a video, with a duration of five minutes only.
Instructions to upload film:
1. Please upload your film on your YouTube channel.
2. Login to MyGov/my submission .
3. In the comment section, copy paste your film youtube link here. (do not upload the film here )
In case the Video is uploaded on any other platform other then YouTube, the video should be recorded in AVI, MPEG or MP4 format only.
The entries should be submitted along with a certificate from
School/Institute/College/University where the participant is currently enrolled.
A participant can send only one entry. In case it is found that any participant has submitted more than one entry, all will be considered invalid.
The entry should be original. Copied entries will not be considered under the contest.
The participant must be the same person who has written the essay and plagiarism would not be allowed.
The entries should include a separate cover page carrying the following personal information:
1) Name of the participant
2) Father/Mother Name
3) Class/Programme
4) Name and Address of School/College/ University
5) Residence Address
6) Mobile & Landline Numbers and
7) Email Address
Technical Parameters
The participant should submit the essay in only .DOC, .PDF, .AVI, .MPEG or .MP4 file format.
Essay Text font would be only among three type: 1. Book Antiqua, 2. Cambria 3. Times New Roman.
Font size would be 12. Line spacing would be 1.15 only
Paper Margins: allow 1-inch margins on all four sides and justify text on both sides
Number of Words: 1500 words for Junior level participants and 2500 words for Senior level category
Last date of submission is 30th September.
