As long as you are a keen programmer or know some programming in “C” language you can get going. It is important that you have the desire or aptitude to learn whatever skills are required to complete the given task. e-Yantra team will provide adequate instructions as required.

No registration fee. In fact, e-Yantra provides the team with a robotic kit, which is used in the competition. e-Yantra will provide sensors and actuators (as part of the Robotic kit) to the participating teams. However, if the problem assigned requires accessories to build structures on the robot, the team will have to bear the cost of such accessories. The team will need to make their own arena (usually an inexpensive “flex sheet” based passive arena) for the task assigned to them. Teams selected as Finalists to participate in the Grand Finale which is conducted at IIT Bombay in February – March, every year have to bear the cost of to and fro travel and some incidental expenses to participate in the finals (train fares permissible as per the competition rules will be reimbursed to the team members on arrival to participate in the competition).

Existing ICICI Bank customers can participate along with their immediate family members (parents, spouses, siblings and children) in the contest
A Participant shall have to be a ICICI Bank customer during the entire Contest Period to be eligible for the prize i.e. from July 1, 2015 to August 15, 2015
Non-customers of ICICI Bank can participate in the contest but shall not be eligible for the contest prizes. The CBRE Urban Photographer of the Year competition gives unique insight into the urban built environment on a global scale. Urban has many meanings, depending on your point of view. For the chance to win a photography trip of a lifetime CBRE challenges you to capture and share what urban means to you, whether it’s morning, noon or night.
The competition tells the story of the urban environment though our theme ‘Cities at Work’ and how these environments change as you move through the 24 hours in a day. You can enter up to 24 images; one for every hour of the day, all for free. Photos do not have to be taken on the same day and photos do not have to be entered exactly in to the hour that they were taken (allowing flexibility if you have 2 or more great shots from the same hour).

Photo Guidelines:
The Photo must be in JPEG (.jpg) format;
The Photo must be between 1MB and 8MB in size.

Announcement

National Council of Science Museums, a premier institution involved in popularizing science through informal mode, in association with UL- Underwriters Laboratory, a premier Safety Science Company is organizing the National Safety Science Quiz 2015(NSSQ 2015) for school students during August-October 2015.

This is the second time that a quiz on Safety Science is being conducted at a national level and is aimed to have an immense educational and experiential impact.

This unique quiz will revolve around the theme Safety Science in everyday life.

Registration opens on 25th June, 2015 and closes on 31st July, 2015.

Prize Structure
Ist Prize: Rs.50, 000/- One team
(Rs.25, 000/- per Student) - 2 nos.

IInd Prize: Rs. 30,000/-One team
(Rs.15, 000/- per Student) - 2 nos.

IIIrd Prize: Rs.20,000/- One team

Rules for Registration:
Registration process will be online only.
Registration can be done only by schools. Students are not allowed to register individually.
Students currently studying in class IX to XII are only allowed to participate.
A school can register up to a maximum of 20 students only once.
The registration will open on Thursday the 25th June 2015 and close on Friday, the 31st July, 2015. The entries shall be restricted to 1000 students per city for the written test and shall be on first come first serve basis. However, registration may be pre-closed once 7000 students are registered.

The Rashtriya Aavishkar Abhiyan (RAA) envisages  motivating and engaging children of the age group from  6 -18  years  in  Science,  Mathematics  and  Technology  through  observation,  experimentation,  inference
